Anthony's Picks

Last Night:(2-4-1), Week:(7-7-1), Year:(110-92-7), Locks:(12-5)

  • Minnesota [7-7] -5.5 over PHILADELPHIA [6-5-1] (W)
  • WASHINGTON [6-4-1] -3.5 over Denver [7-6] (L)
  • DETROIT [8-6] -8.5 over Toronto [10-6-1]--LOCK (L)
  • Memphis [7-8] -6.5 over ATLANTA [8-6] (W)
  • Miami [10-3-1] -4 over MILWAUKEE [8-4] (W)
  • New York [9-5] -5 over NEW ORLEANS [6-5-1] (W)
  • CHICAGO [3-10] +7.5 over Cleveland [6-8-1] (W)
  • SAN ANTONIO [8-6-1] +10 over Seattle [8-6] (L)
  • Orlando [9-3] -1.5 over UTAH [8-7] (W)
  • Phoenix [7-7-1] -3 over LAKERS [6-5] (push)

Last night was gross. Indiana barely covers, fine. Cleveland decides to take the 3rd quarter over against Jerz. Houston is just awful. They can't beat a team who's two best players are David Wesley and Lee Nailon by more than 10??? Knicks are offically bad again. I really thought they could do some damage this year, but Steph and Crawford just can't put good games together. Minny killed me on that lock. I really don't understand that team yet. Why Trenton Hassell gets 39 mins yet Eddie Griffin and Troy Hudson get 41 combined, is beyond me. I was shocked when I woke up and saw Phoenix pushed (Paul must be pissed). That team is unreal. They have the offensive explosion of Dallas the past few seasons. And Sactown did it again. Watch for them to start failing to cover these big spreads soon however. Keep riding the Pistons. Good luck tonight...

Paul's Picks:

Last Night: (1-5-1), Week: (6-8-1), Year: (116-89-8), Locks: (13-2-1)

  • Minnesota [5-9] -5.5 over PHILADELPHIA [10-2-1] (W)
  • WASHINGTON [6-5-1] -3.5 over Denver [9-5]--LOCK (L)
  • DETROIT [10-4] -8.5 over Toronto [11-5-1] (L)
  • Memphis [8-8] -6.5 over ATLANTA [8-6] (W)
  • Miami [10-4-1] -4 over MILWAUKEE [9-4] (W)
  • New York [8-6] -5 over NEW ORLEANS [5-6-1] (W)
  • Cleveland [6-8-1] -7.5 over CHICAGO [6-7] (L)
  • Seattle [7-8] +10 over SAN ANTONIO [8-6-1] (W)
  • Orlando [12-1] -1.5 over UTAH [7-8] (W)
  • Phoenix [8-6-1] -3 over LAKERS [4-7] (push)

I apologize for last night's debacle, but hey, I caught the bad end of the stick for once...only the Minny game did I lose by more than a few points. You're probably a little shocked at my picks for tonight--9 out of 10 road teams with the only home team I have covering being the Wiz. That line should be higher, but the Wiz have played 8 straight against sub .500 teams and just 2 against the West all season--regardless, Denver is not a good road team and Washington is a solid club, they'll cover. I was also tempted to lock both Phoenix and Orlando, but I've noticed the Suns have trouble blowing away teams that can run with them and the Lakers are suited for a barn-burner, not to mention being a very good team at Staples. Orlando is going to win that game, I'm just a touch skeptical because Utah hasn't covered since B.C. I'm a little iffy on the Detroit and Seattle games, just because I think the Spurs and Pistons will win. G'luck
