John Kim Has Hope!

Ha Seung-Jin became the first Korean-born player in the NBA on Friday, and had 0 points on 0 shots with 0 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 steals, and 0 blocks in 1 minute, therefore making Joel Pryzbilla (left) expendable for Portland.

Paul, where did you get this picture of Geoff Stowe, John Kim and Dave Wiygul dressed in Portland warm-ups? Great find.

this is john kim. i am 5'11" and 180lbs. ha seungjin is 7'3" and 305 lbs. yes we are both korean. if you have seen both ha seungjin and john kim play ball, you will all come to realize 2 facts. 1) john kim will beat ha seungjin on a one on one pick up game anyday. 2) john kim is definitely better looking than ha seungjin.

come to think of it, i was a witness to ha seungjin's first appearance on the courts. he was down low on his second offensive trip down court and was fed the ball. he took one of the ugliest skyhook airballs that these asian eyes have ever seen (including paul benedicts shots.) i was both upset and embarrassed at the same time. so i would say that ha was 0 for 1 even though i would have preferred the first ever korean's field goal attempt in an nba game to result in 1-1, not 0-1. i am just as much upset to admit the fact that i indeed did have a dream that i would be one day the first korean ever to play in the nba.

i appreciate you guys for your open eyes regarding ethnic diversity in the nba.

the john kim.
