Anthony's Picks

Last Night: (1-2), Last Week: (4-8), Year: (18-17)

  • San Antonio -10 over UTAH
  • MINNESOTA -7 over Lakers

Rather than make all make picks in a rush, I'm really going to concentrate this week (good excuse huh?) The Spurs have beaten the Jazz 18 straight time including a 109-76 ass-beating back in November (night Kirilenko went down). Utah stinks, the Spurs can beat anyone by 20 on any night depending on their mood. I don't trust Keith McLeod and the rest of Boyz II Men to cover 10 points. Also, I like the T'Wolves tonight. 7 just seems way too high especially with Cassell questionable. Lakers are gawd awful on the road and that will continue tonight. Kobe should go off for 40, but no one in the LA frontcourt can stop KG. Expect a 111-97 type game. Good luck. Scroll down to picks challenge to compete against Paul and I.

Paul's Picks

Last Night: (0-2), Last Week: (11-11)

  • BOSTON [11-16-1] -3 over Orlando [21-4]--LOCK
  • PHILADELPHIA [18-9-1] -7 over Portland [12-14]
  • San Antonio [13-14-1] -10 over UTAH [16-14]

Orlando's won 3 in row--at home. They've lost 6 straight on the road. Boston has won 5 of 6 at home. They've lost 6 straight on the road. 3 point line--I'm going with the facts before us and taking Boston with confidence. Sixers haven't played at Wachovia in 21 days after a brutal, yet successful road trip. Portland stinks right now and Iverson returns to the lineup with plenty of rest--I'm going with Philly (depite the dreaded 7-point line). And San Antonio absolutely owns Utah--while I won't lock this game simply because of the double-digit line, I'd be pretty shocked if the skidding Jazz covered.
