Home Team in CAPS

Anthony's Picks

Last Night: (1-0), Locks for the Year: (15-9)

  • NEW YORK -3 over Sacramento
The Kings would be the obvious choice. They just beat the Spurs and face a Knicks team they was just defeated at home by the Nets. Plus, Marbury was running his mouth off which could have a negative effect on team chemistry. The problem for the Kings is that they have very little depth. Their starters each played 31+ the other night and add to it they've lost their last two at MSG, I smell a Knicks victory. NY is solid at home too, with a 10-5 record to date. Good luck to all and stay away from the football game.

Paul's Picks

Last Night: (2-2), Locks for the Year: (16-14-1)

  • NEW YORK [17-9-1] -3 over Sacramento [11-11-2]--LOCK
  • MINNESOTA [10-14] -2 over Phoenix [14-11-2]

What Anthony failed to mention is that the home team was won the last 14 games in this series. That's pretty surprising when you consider that the Kings have been an elite team for the better part of 7 seasons and the Knicks have been a borderline playoff team during that span. Go with the trend here, no doubt. Another trend I like--Wolves 8 straight at home against the Suns. Now of course none of these 8 losses have been against the 2005 Suns, but remember that Minny went into Phoenix earlier this season and handed them one of their four losses, and that Minny is hungry coming in after two horrible losses.
