Saturday's Picks

April 9, 2005

Home Team in CAPS

Anthony's Picks:

Last Night: (2-3), Week: (8-4-1)
  • Minnesota -8.5 over ATLANTA
  • Houston +6 over PHOENIX
  • San Antonio -2.5 over CLIPPERS

Paul's Picks:

Last Night: (1-4), Week: (5-5-2)

  • NEW JERSEY -3.5 over Celtics
  • Minnesota -8.5 over ATLANTA
  • Seattle +8 over DENVER
  • PHOENIX -6 over Houston
  • San Antonio -2.5 over CLIPPERS

Celts have covered 8 of 9 on the road, but will still likely be without 'Toine. Jersey needs this game more than Boston does and coupling this with the low line, it would seem obvious to take them. I'm not really sold on this game, but I'm going to it and need someone to root for. So what the hell, give me the Jerz. Not my finest showing last night, so I'm going to have to make up for it tonight. Minnesota played pretty well last night against the Nuggets at the Target Center and still lost, but they haven't given up on their playoff hopes just yet and should wallop an overmatched Hawks team tonight. Seattle has been responding well all season in games after they've been walloped, up until last night where they followed-up an ass-whooping to the Kings with an even more embarassing showing to the Lakers. As good as the Nuggets have been lately, I think Nate Dogg will get his troops in order for tonight and keep this game rather close. The road team has won each of the 3 Phoenix/Houston games this season-- don't let that fool you. The Suns will need a win after succumbing to the Warriors last night. Spurs are 11-5 after losses this season, so I'm thinking they come out and take down the Clips (3-8 on Saturdays this season). G'luck...
