Tuesday's NBA Picks

April 12, 2005

Home Team in CAPS

Anthony's Picks

Last Night: (2-2), Week: (2-2)
  • CLIPPERS -9 over Utah
  • NEW YORK -5.5 over Toronto

I probably shouldn't even be taking these games, but oh well. I think the Clippers are going to continue to play well heading into the last handful of games. Wilcox had a great game against the Spurs on Sunday and I look for his athleticism to spark LA. Utah was down big to Dallas all game on Sunday and pulled it to a respectable margin when all of Big D's starters were benched. LAC 103, UTH 89. New York had an emotional win against a thriving Pacer ballclub on Sunday. Michael Sweetney's tip-in at the buzzer should prompt the Knicks to show up to rip the Raptors tonight 97-88. GLTA

Paul's Picks

Last Night: (3-2), Week: (3-2)

  • New Orleans +13.5 over PHOENIX
  • Utah +9 over CLIPPERS
New Orleans has lost to Phoenix by 9, 11, and 11 this season, twice having held the Suns to under 100 points which has happened just 12 times this season. Phoenix has covered just 3 times in their last 10 back-end of a back-to-back to games and I'm gunning for the Hornets to barely cover this line tonight. Utah has covered in 3 of their last 4 road games while the Clippers haven't covered at home in any of their past 5 games. I like the Jazz to cover by a few in Staples. Good Luck...

Anthony... i know my raptors are bad but the Knicks are way worse... i would never go with any spread over -2 with them at this stage. they just dont have anything going for them. Lord knows what their solutions are going to be for their 100 mill+ salary but i learnt a monrh or two ago to stay away from any spreads with the knicks

Guess you're right Nat...Knicks looked like they had it in the first half though. The lesson here is don't mess with any of these teams as they'll just show up when they feel like it.
