Paul's Picks:

Last Night: (1-0)
  • DETROIT -4.5 over Miami

Stan Van made a big mistake when he took some shots at the Detroit fans. The Palace, already one of the rowdiest arenas, will be totally rocking tonight. Look for the Pistons to feed off this from the start and jump all over Miami in the 1st. Larry Brown will make the right adjustments on defense and slow down Dwyane Wade tonight, leaving Miami's fate in the hands of its jump-shooters and the Diesel. Detroit should feel more comfortable on offense back at home and surely won't repeat it's ugly shooting performance from Wednesday night. Expect Detroit to lead throughout the game with Miami sticking withing striking distance before rallying hard in the 4th. In the end, the Pistons will hold off the Heat thanks to a much-needed lift from Rip Hamilton. DETROIT 93, MIAMI 87
