Tuesday's NBA Picks

May 10, 2005

Home Team in CAPS

Anthony's Picks:

Last Night: (1-1), Playoffs: (17-27-3)

Paul's Picks:

Last Night: (1-1), Playoffs: (19-25-3)

  • Washington +12 over MIAMI
  • SAN ANTONIO -10.5 over Seattle

-Awfully high lines for Game 2's, when teams usually will bounce back after lackluster Game 1's to give more hearted efforts. Washington played Miami tough for a half on Sunday before getting blown away in the second half. Of course, the Heat looked terrible in the first half and played with a sense of urgency when they realized the game was closer than it should have been. Look for the Wiz to hang with the Heat tonight, but never really threaten them. HEAT 106, WIZARDS 95

-Seattle's only chance of winning a game in this series is if either San Antonio has a horrible shooting night or they shoot lights out thanks to an inspired performance by Ray Allen. Well, Ray Allen might play tonight, but he's not going to push it. He knows that he's a free agent in about 3 games and he's not about to risk it. Rashard Lewis isn't going to blow up with Allen out either, so I have no idea where Seattle will get points from. San Antonio in another crushing victory. SPURS 101, SONICS 80
