Wednesday's NBA Picks

May 25, 2006

Home Team in CAPS

Anthony's Picks:

Last Night: (1-0-- Cheater)
  • MIAMI -4.5 over Detroit

I think Miami wins tonight, so I'm going with them. MIAMI 147, DETROIT 58

Paul's Picks:

Last Night: (1-0-- Honest)

  • Detroit +4.5 over MIAMI

Tough call tonight. Logically speaking, Wade is going to bounce back tonight to have an average game and that should be enough for the Heat to even the series, whether Shaq plays like Shaq or not. Remember, Detroit lost Game 2 to LA last year...barely, and a part of me can see this series playing out in roughly the same way. Miami was reminded last night with Phoenix's loss that they HAVE to win tonight so you have to expect them to kick it into another gear. Detroit has looked a little too laid back in the Playoffs this year when they're in a situation like this. They dropped Game 3 to Philly and should have lost Game 4, and fell to Indiana in Games 2 and 3-- none of those games were 'must-wins'. Whatever happens, it should be a helluva game and very, very close. I'm going with Miami in a closely-contested contest with the thinking that they'll get off to a hot start and barely hold off the Pistons. HEAT 95, PISTONS 92
