Saturday's Playoff Pick

June 4, 2005

Anthony's Pick:

Thursday: (0-1)

  • DETROIT -6.5 over Miami

Pistons go the 'Sheed guarentee...I love them tonight and probably in Game 7 as well. No Wade hurts the Heat more so than no Shaq. PISTONS 103, HEAT 87

Paul's Pick:

Thursday: (1-1)

  • DETROIT -6.5 over Miami

D-Wade is a game-time decision and obviously his status is going to have a huge impact on the game. He wasn't able to practice yesterday and he's supposedly still in some pain, so chances are even if he does play, we won't be seeing the real Dwyane Wade. Miami, though they obviously won't concede tonight's game, knows in the back of their mind that their season is really on the line Monday night back at home, not this evening. Though I do feel Miami can keep this game close, there's just simply no way the Pistons lose-- not with Rasheed's patented guarantee, not at the Palace, and most importantly, not with their backs against the wall. Even before Game 5, I pegged Detroit to win Games 6 and 7 and that certainly hasn't changed. Look for the Pistons to jump all over Detroit from the start and never look back thanks to a big bounce-back performance from 'Sheed and some hot shooting from Chauncey and Rip. I do fully expect Shaq to be a beast tonight, proving to everyone why the Heat are still his team, but it's not going to matter. PISTONS 97, HEAT 88

No one commented on how what I said made absolutely no sense? I read it this morning and thought Mike Tyson put up my pick...
