Snag in SAR to Nets Deal

**UPDATE (7:07 PM)** Here's the deal-- Thorn addressed the media and basically said this--Abdur-Rahim failed his physical, for undisclosed reasons, and now is going to seek a second opinion with the hopes that he gains clearance. If not, the deal is likely off the table and the Nets in essence, end up completely blind-sided and screwed.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim may not be coming to the Nets after all. With reports circulating that SAR is having problems with his physical, the deal is being held up indefinitely. Rod Thorn is expected to make an announcement concerning the issue sometime today, but as it stands right now, things aren't looking so good for what appeared to have been a very happy engagement. If the Nets can't make this marriage happen, it'll be a serious blow to their off-season plan. It's quite possible Nets fans might start hearing Vladimir Radmanovic's name come up as soon as tomorrow. Thorn would have to immediately contact the Sonics free agent since he's in Seattle right now and reportedly on the verge of coming to an agreement on a contract with them. If Radmanovic can't be had, the Nets may have to settle for a much lower-tier player such as Reggie Evans, Darius Songaila, or Steven Hunter.
