unfortunately, this will pretty much just be an overhyping of nate robinson's height and how he'll be the next spud webb. (by the way, has anybody ever talked about his achievements as a player?) as long as he manages to do anything at all, he'll probably win this thing. if he completely bombs and pulls a chris anderson though, id have to put my money on j smith again.

i wish the NBA stars cared enough now a days to do this. Seems like dunk contests are all young players proving themselves with nothing else to do. Wouldn't you love yo see a dunk contest with Jrich, VC, Ricky Davis and Smith?

Look on the other side of the coin abit Will. If they kept the old people over the same years again and again, the dunk contest would be quite dull too in a way.
Let's just see some new/fresh blood out there trying out new/old/silly dunks.
Then there's the ruling of after 3 years you can't compete in the dunk contest.
Anyone know where's that link to that rule? I can't seem to find it in NBA.com

who ever thought that the dunk contest was going to be dull or boring obviously dosnt know basketball. My man from the Knicks jumped over spud webb, and he is as tall as spud. This year was crazy!

It was definatly one of the more creative dunk constests. AI's pass behind the backboard was unreal.
