Ray Allen an All-Star?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and virtually GUARANTEE his selection (if I'm wrong just forget this ever happened, okay?). Here's my reasoning:
  • Ray Allen doesn't show up for All-Star weekend and ONLY take part in the 3-point contest. Because let's face it, you don't invite someone of his status to just take part in the Saturday night events--he's been a part of All-Star weekend too many times to do that
  • It makes complete sense that Allen promised the NBA he'd take part in the shootout
as long as he's a reserve in the game. The more big names in the 3-Point contest the better.
  • And finally, coaches usually make their selections based upon position and right now there is no other deserving 2-guard besides Jason Richardson. And with his recent brash of injuries, I think Allen would certainly get the nod.

Watch and learn people...

this doesn't have anything to do with ray allen...but Ant have you checked the number of votes every player got? And did you notice that DAVID WESLEY got more votes than Mike Bibby, Sam Cassell or Chris Paul? Damnit, even Smush Parker would have been a better pick. I know the all-star game is in houston and everything but come on, this is ridiculous.

It is ridiculous, you're right. But c'mon man, the game is IN Houston, like you said. The fans there are going to fill out those ballots that much more than the common fan. But I'm not sure how this doesn't have anything to do with Ray Allen? NBA coaches vote in reserves not internet geeks. They assess things fairly, well at least we hope so. Check back later for full rosters.
